Creating Inspiring Gardens
β

Andrew Darragh is a plantsman and garden designer based in Malta, specialising in planting design and soft landscaping that combine horticultural excellence with timeless, elegant designs. Working across private gardens, renowned hotels, heritage properties and cultural institutions, each project is shaped by a careful understanding of place, growing conditions and the aspirations of those who will enjoy it.
β
After training and working at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew for over a decade, Andrew continued his career within some of Britain's most celebrated historic gardens. He spent eleven years as Head Gardener at Fenton House, a National Trust property in London, where he was responsible for the care and development of a nationally significant historic garden, maintaining the highest standards of horticultural excellence while taking a sensitive approach to the stewardship and ongoing development of this much-loved public garden in Hampstead, London.
Today, Andrew collaborates with a trusted network of interior designers, landscape professionals and specialist contractors to deliver projects throughout Malta. From intimate courtyards and villa gardens to luxury hotels, galleries and large public landscapes, the practice offers garden design, planting design and horticultural consultancy. Every landscape is individually conceived, responding to the character of the site while creating beautiful, enduring spaces that complement their surroundings.
β
A deep knowledge of plants lies at the heart of every project. Andrew believes that successful landscapes are founded on the principle of placing the right plant in the right place, creating resilient, sustainable gardens rich in texture, structure and seasonal interest. The result is elegant, naturalistic, romantic gardens and borders that feel as though they have always belonged.
